Personal: Battle is a graduate of Virginia Tech University. He once built a race car from a street car in eight nights and raced it to a class victory, with only 12 total hours of sleep in four days. He has 13 years of high-performance driving instructing.

Racing Career: Debuted in the 2009 KONI Sports Car Challenge in Street Tuner class. Started four races, taking best finish of ninth at Virginia International Raceway with co-driver Michael Dayton and RRT Racing team. Began racing in 1999 and has racing experience in SCCA (owns ITS championship), BMWCCA and NASA.
